The automated conversion of waste into biomass produces a highly valuable raw material for biogas plants. The fermentation of biomass produces gas, which in turn powers a gas engine – the source for producing electricity. As a by-product, the engine produces heat, which can be used for heating or cooling depending on season and local requirements. The bio-substrate at the end of the fermentation process is a highly valuable and sought-after bio-fertilizer for agricultural use. A natural cycle goes full circle: From nature organic material comes, back to nature it goes.
